Rubies - the most important currency in the game. With rubies, you can speed up the construction of rooms, activate traps, purchase card packs, craft cards, etc.
You can earn rubies by attacking other players or computer opponents, by winning defenses, by completing achievements or goals or by being in one of the top 4 guilds at the end of the guild tournament.
By attacking and winning defenses you can earn around 70 rubies per day.
Winning Attacks[]
You can earn up to 50 rubies per day by attacking other players or computer opponents.
The maximum number of rubies per attack depends on your castle heart level and the castle heart level of your target:

For a 2 star victory you receive up to one ruby. You only receive the maximum number of rubies, when you completly destroy the target (3 star victory).
It makes sense to upgrade your castle heart as late as possible, when you want to earn rubies by attacking.
Players who try to hack the game/in-app-purchases cannot earn rubies from attacks.
Extra Win Bonus[]
Every 9 hours you receive a bonus of 5 rubies for the first victorious multiplayer attack. Victorious means you have to achieve at least 1 star.
Computer Opponent[]
The level of the computer opponents determines the size and difficulty of their castle.

Traps of computer opponents are always enabled.
When you have not completly destroyed the last computer opponent and the computer opponent level has not changed, you can attack the same computer opponent again. Each gold coin can be only stolen once from a computer opponent, but by optimizing your deck against a specific opponent 3 star victories become alot easier.
Winning Defenses[]
You receive 1 ruby when another player attacks you and your defense wins.
